holy crap. Good for u, bro. Keep it up and I will def be proud of the racing part of the Solara. I always thought of my Solara as only a pimp cruiser, but it can go somewhere as well.

Good job!

I had to use race gas. I ordered a new set of port and polish heads with stock compression. I'm going to try a low boost setup and see what I can get. Remember I was at 275hp@5.5psi with stock heads on pump gas so hopefully I can get close to the 295 on pump with p&p heads and then I can throw on a smaller pulley with race gas and get 320 or higher.

I will be selling my current heads eventually, They are lowered compression with Rick Kemph p&p, new valves, Crower springs, ect. so if you want them start saving $1k.

I need a set of cores now, let me now if you have a set.

Yes, I remember that your numbers were better with the 5.5 psi pulley before you went with Jim's heads, and that you had to go to 7 psi to get back to comparable hp. Are you going back to stock compression and lower boost so that you stay out of boost until you really want it? I don't have a set of cores, as I let Jim keep mine when he installed his heads on my car. I'll be curious to hear your pros and cons when you get the new p&p heads and drop the boost.

Eric,
I've got an old set if heads in the basement, they had about 100k miles on them when they were pulled, the oil tubes aren't in very good shape and some of the shims are missing. They are yours for free, just pay shipping from 80013.
I can send some images if you like.

Its an expensive and labor intensive gamble, I'm curious too. I never thought 300+ to the tires would be so hard!

Off topic, does anyone have the part number of the filter in Jim's kit, I called him today but he is out of town for a week.

Eric,

I think that Jim has an old thread on Camryman that lists some of the part numbers. It's from several months ago. I think that the title of the thread is SuperSolara Fuel System, or something like that.

We have a agreement with a local shop and I did make minor fuel adjustments.
