fuel pump a must for s-afc?

I was reading on the forums that some people that have s-afc and their running lean when they get it dyno tuned if your supercharged. so most people end up having to getting a fuel pump and doing their dyno again. I was wondering is a fuel pump a must when getting and tuning a s-afc? if not i can install my s-afc and not get a fuel pump.

No, a fuel pump is not required for dyno tuning.

see, we had the running lean problem with the supercharged cars for long. An upgraded fuel pump was a proposed sulution. Another was bigger injectors. The one that seems to work best is upgrading the fuel filter and lines (Jim's fule kit). You can get a dyno tune without upgrading the pump and it would be just fine. But you'll find that your running lean on the high end.
I would recomend you get Jim's fuel kit (because that really made a difference for me) and then get your dyno tune.

But remember no matter how big you fuel lines are, your OEM fuel pump will only pump so much fuel. Your fuel pump is the heart of your fuel system and you can pick one up for about $90.
