I was thinkin' about gettin' an OEM Y-pipe from a salvage yard, and cuttin' out the Catalyic converter and stickin' a pipe slightly larger than the OEM piping, and clamping it down, or gettin' someone to weld the pipe onto the OEM pipe.
In other words stick a pipe slightly bigger than OEM piping in place of the Catalyic converter.
Would it effect the O2 sensor??

You could always just gut the cat with a flexible rod or whatever. I was kind of thinking about it too. Currently my county does not have emissions testing but I think it's coming in a few years...

It shouldn't affect the pre-cat o2 sensor but the rest of them may set CEL for emissions codes. I don't know if simulators would work or if you can just plug the bungs and let the o2 sensors breathe ambient air, if you could find some way to mount them.
