Another problem with my Solara
All of the sudden, I was on the highway the other day driving on the 4th gear (Automatic tranny) and pushed harder on the gas, so it shifted gear to 3th and it started shaking and it took forever for the RPM to reach 6000, then shifted back to the forth gear, it felt like I was driving a 3 cyl car ( mine is 6 CYL). It got no power whatsoever.
Once, I was at a red light, and when I pushed the gas to accelerate, the car took off VERY VERY slow to the point that cars behind me started sounding their horns.
I took it to my mechanic and he hooked his scanner and got the following codes:
135 - Which is the O2 sensor ( I was told that if the O2 has been on for a long time, it could damage some part of the engine, is that right? )
300, 303, and 306.
I was told that the problem could be either the fuel filter, or the spark plugs wires or that thing that is connected to the wire and placed right above the sparks)
Has anyone encountered such problem?
Note that my car doe not have a salvage title, however, I learnt that the car was involved in an accident in the past. The engine light has been on ever since I bought the car at 58K miles. Prior to taking the car to the mechanic, I tried Fuel Treatment and Injector Treatment with no promising results.
I am in need for the AC fan blade ( Just the blade itself ), if anyone is parting a Solara and still has that part intact please email me at :
