130 mph in the quarter mile would be impossible. The fastest Solara finishes the quarter mile at 104 mph and it's heavily modified.

I think he is refering to the top speed he reached in the Solara.

Exactly, what i ran wit my friends to show him that an auto Solara isn't slow. :lol:
He was about to piss in his pants. :lol:

When i meant Top Speed Run of 130 mph; is how fast i've gone in my car, not in a 1/4 mile.

Top speed has nothing to do with whether a car is slow or not. Its how quickly you can get up to 130mph

...This thread is going no where

99 stock auto v6 numbers

Postby solaratypej » Fri Feb 04, 2005 9:23 pm

I went down to track for the first time, it was a lot of fun and I am hoping to do some mod to my bare stock solara to improve some numbers next time. Here are the numbers from today:

* First run: 16.289 sec @86mph w/Overdrive off
* Second run: 16.763 sec @86.06mph w/Overdrive on but with massive torque steer at launch.
* Third run: 16.602 sec @84.96mph w/Overdrive on
* Fourth run: 16.747 sec @83.48mph w/Overdrive off

My car is completely stock with an exception of K&N filter... I went to track right after school so I had my backpack with couple of textbooks and full size spare tire and full gas tank. I was expecting 16 sec flat for stock solara so it was kinda disappointing. I didn't do power braking nor burn out since I didn't know you could do stuff like that with AUTO.

Does anyone have a 1/4mile performance number with Injen w/CAI extension and catback (evo??)? I want to mod my car but I am wondering if it will make much difference? :roll: i like to beat rsx type s (14.941 sec @95.64mph, probably not stock...) :D

Yups that's about what I got. OD on or off don't matter cause OD controls 4th gear which you will not see in a 1/4 mile. THe differences in time is your reaction and possibly heat in your engine bay. Also how straight you can keep the car makes a diff as well.
