2004 solara engine into the 1999, sounds reasonable? have nice gauges, a better looking gear box, more horsepower, more speeds (since im automatic) and simple, dont you think? lets hear some ideas, plus hows the aftermarket look for 2004 solara engine parts?

I've thought about this swap before. The 3.3 liter is kinda big, torqie, and probably won't match up with our transmissions. So you'd probably need the transmission too. Along with the ECU. It will definitely be a beast of a car when completed, but I'm pretty sure it will be very difficult.

You'll have the same gauges as your 99 I guess. Since you want more power you can get the Supercharger and you'll make up those extra horses.

How about custom turbo w/ IC for more power. But, if you really want the guages, get the Gen2.

I'd say if anything just change out your tranny to the 5speed one . . . because the 04 Solara engine is fairly new to the market, there are NOT a lot of aftermarket parts. Being that there are already a limited amount for the other generations (especially my gen 1), I do not think there will that much for the newer gens. The only "good" aftermarket part I've heard for the 3.3 is the pending upgrade from Sportivo Concepts . . . but don't hold ya breath on it. But yea, if you wanna spend the extra doe, then dish it out on a custom turbo kit and a 5 speed tranny. Shootz

how is it annoying? im just giving ideas, and getting opinions, i dont see you doing it as much. Alot of ideas go through my head, so i like to get feedback, just to see what the better idea would be in the end. Also, no the new engine does not have much upgrades..yet..because nobody has gotten their hands on it, but it will have plenty more than the generation 1.
