Another engine down the tubes...

I came to the same conclusion with the boost after I blew my knock sensors with a 2.75 pulley, it was due to poor tuning but from that point on I came to the realization that the solara is not a race car. Joe I really hope you build up you're car and push it further than anyone else. I wish I had the money to build up engins and blow em up, but for me I just decided it was easier to get a new car with lower compression. Good luck keep us posted I would love to see a solara on the track running 13's. I am going to the track out here in sac tomorrow night, I am hoping to get in to the 14's with only minor mods.

Nick, not a new car! :o We already have Solaras running in the 13s. Even low 13s. Shidosha01 (Rizal) ran a 13.3 with his engine built from the same place I'm having mine done. Paladin06Greg's (Greg) car will come out of the same shop right before mine goes in. Plus there are a couple Camrys running high 13s. My personal goal is to get to 12s! Then I'll be a happy camper. :bday: Good luck at the track, let us know how it goes! -JoeB

ha I blew my engine too. the piston is hitting the valve and the insurance wont pay to fix it and the dealer is saying I blew the engine. It rained so I never made it out the track. AGHHHHHHH now I have to pay to get my car towed for the fourth time, and then I still have to find a engine and someone to put it in for me. today really sucked.

our engines are setup so the pistons won't crash the valves.. how is ur valve hitting the piston? I know the DSM motors, if u lose you timing belt the pistons crash the valves hardcore.. which is why DSM motors BLOW AS$

If you spin the crank rod then the piston will hit the valve, basicly my engine is so wasted you cant even rebuild it.
