Question about headlights?

Question about headlights?

Postby HTown-Solara » Mon Nov 08, 2004 3:01 am

I searched for this question but couldnt come up with any specific answers. The search yielded too many results. I was wondering if the Gen 1.5 headlights would somehow fit the Gen 1? I know that its not easy, but wanted to know what mods are required to get this done.

Also, I'm having problems with DRL. I have taken out the switch in the upper left in the engine bay, disbaled the twilight sensor, but the DRL still works. It seems as though it has a mind of its own. The lights come on when I shut my door and then maybe they'll go off, come back on again. Its totally weird. Anyone has any idea what might be causing this? Thanks

You can’t do it practically; you would need different fenders, grill, bumper, and such. You're better to get some custom projectors :).
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

you do not need new fenders but you do need to rewire your headlight for 9006 and 9005

My bad on the fenders, I assumed a little much about the changing shape of the front bumper changing the fender shape. Still alot of parts money for the results IMHO.

if you do replace the headlights go ahead and treat yourself to an R34 or black widow body kit. id rather shape that than the stock bumper. and the 1.5 headlights are gorgeous compared to 1's, grill too. i wouldnt want to change it if i had them.

Try the white plug in the enigne bay, near the left upper part or the bay.
It should be near the hood.
Looks like a black box i think.
Mine did that for a while then it stopped.
Could be the rlay or something in the DRL system gettin' stuck.
