MAN. Just drove 200 miles to deliver my son to the enlistment center, coming down the exit ramp 3 miles from home.....AND A FREAKIN DEER RUNS RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. '02, 5SFE/5spd, TRD springs, 6K miles, now I need a hood, grill, foglight, passenger mirror, and maybe the pass.door is bent. And get this...there's a car pulled over on the road to my left that I'm merging onto and he just hit the same deer. It went over his hood and broke his windshield, got up and ran in front of me. I can't believe this. Probably flat-spotted my tires too....

Didn't know I needed a 6cyl/supercharger on the exit ramp.....just one of those deals, 2 seconds either way and I would have missed him. Dark, rainy, not much chance..the deer had a worse night than me though....

i think a solara should have warning on it "drive at you're own risk. driving a solara may increase your chances of being injured or killed in a motor vehicle by 75%" heheh...really..i just have this feelin that something's gonna happen to my car, i'll say it now for the record! i hope i don't prove myself wrong!...well..if one of us mysteriously disspears, we'll know what happened.......(nah, i shouldn't even joke about this..i've known too many people and have had too many family members killed in auto accidents)

your poor car!! how does that work w/ insurance?? you're ok? i don't think the deer did as well..........

(this reminds me of the time one of my customers had a turkey fly thru her windshield in gatlinburg, TN on the hgwy...and they say turkeys can't fly....)

Wild turkeys fly just fine. They fly into windshields regularly around here. It's the tame white Butterball ones that can't fly. As far as the insurance, I pay the deductible and they pay the rest. Only problem is the boy had a couple reportables in his slammed/shaved S10 truck on my policy in the last year and this may raise my premium. There go the 17s..

And I was so happy to be home without incident cause we did a 400 mile drive Sunday and this is the worst time to be travelling at night because the deer are so active right now.

hahah..for saying TN or KY? heheh...actually i was being serious..there's a lotta (or not much of anything..hehe) strange stuff out there!

i just have some bottled anger towards boonie towns..it's all from work! damn people call up, can hardly speak or understand english..and yes, they're not foreign!, don't know where they are cause "where they are" doesn't "have a real address"...ahhhh...when i hear that famous..."we don't have address out here...it's just a road taht runs for 30miles" that's when i know there won't be any tow companies in the area...and of course u always get those calls at 8:58 when you go home at 9....or at 629 when your break is at 630
