I have an auto V6. I realized that it will go slower if I step down the gas pedal deeply once I start to move, am I right? I want to know how to drive it faster with some "skills" in the 0-60 without modify the parts. :D

I don't know much bout the automagics . . . but since our cars have the MASSIVE torque when we gas it . . . I would say that you should press the pedal slightly-mediumish first then harder to try and avoid the FATTY wheel spin. It's all in the timing . . .

yeah..feather the pedal when you are launching in an auto v6..are you s/c'ed ? if you are..be even more careful..lots of wheelspin. you could also brake/torque (sp?) it if you want..but only to like 1500-2000rpms..its bad for your torque convertor either way.

It's not supercharged. Can I shift it to the 2nd gear first in the beginning with stepping 1/2 deep at the gas pedal after I start and shift it back to D when the needle hit 3000 rpms and step the gas pedal more deeply immediately?? Is this work?? :-?

try power braking, hit the brake padel, and the gas up to like 2, max 2.5 rpm, and it should get a clean take off, i do it, its not good to do it all the time thou.

I did that in my 91 Camry (kinda fun) and in a 2000 Super Duty with a Triton V10 (holy schitt!). Power braking is the way to go with automatics as long as there's some sort of traction control.

The 5spd manual without traction control is a beeotch with wheel spin - does it without trying. If it's rainy, or even worse (as it has been the past few days) drizzling, I have to be VERY careful taking off in first, shifting into second... it spins in first, second, and a little in third :S

Yeah you can do that, but the max shift of 1st and 2nd is about 4000-5000rpms.
Don't try to shift it at 6000rpms.
Also you can leave it in drive and feather it alittle and then floor it.

sorry to say this, take it slow and easy (not jack rabbit lead heavy foot on your accel). We have an auto....let's keep her that way. If you can keep your rpms in the 4500-5500 range then your hitting the right numbers, just make sure that your o/d is off, so this way, you'll stick in 3rd gear!

one more thing jus don't mess around too much with the automagic "shifting" . . . that can lead to quite a bit of transmission problems

How about I only use the O/D button all the time instead of the shifting, will it hurt the transmission?? :-?

I took my SC'd auto the the track here is how you do it. Hold down the brake with your left foot then use your right foot to push on the gas rev it to like 3k and you will feel it start to brake free and then you let off the brake and floor the gas at the same time. It takes some practice to get it down correct but its not that hard to master. Also make sure you have OD off and just do it in drive, if you want a race car get a 5 speed thats what i ended up doing.
