PDA Dyno and OBII reader

PDA Dyno and OBII reader

I read this pretty cool thread at sc3. It basically is about hooking a PDA up through your OBII connector using Nology PDA-Dyno software. It monitors hp, tq, and some other things as well. At the very least, it will be a code reader for when the check engine light comes on or something. It's supposed to retail at around $300+ for the software, and $35 for the OBII cable. I'm sure a lot people already read the same thread, but for the people who didn't, here it is:

www.camryclub.org/forums/showthread.php ... eadid=5336

That would be cool if someone bought the software and we all copied... I mean "bought" our own software. Of course the cable would need to be purchased for $35.

this idea was allready thought of at the teamsc3 site. I believe if you read all the past posts schung explained that they are the only ones who can manufacturer the cable, and that is essentially what you pay for. I don't remember reading about $35 for the cable

It's amazing people are already thinking of pirating something like this. The damn thing isn't even out yet. Pretty lame.

C'mon, let's be realistic about this, who doesn't pirate some type of software? Do you download mp3's? If not, you're about the only person I know who doesn't. It's the same thing; hopefully were not being too hypocritical here. If I was a millionaire, I would definitely buy the software, and I still might buy the software anyway. But if I can get it at little or no cost, why not? I admit, it's a bit unethical to pirate software, but it's so common place, it's almost as big of a crime as jaywalking. That's my opinion and obviously u can think it's lame, but hopefully the opposing opinion isn't incorporating some degree of hypocracy. No hard feelings, just my thoughts. 8)
