I just shipped a TRD Body Kit in the original box from Maryland to Houston, TX and it only cost me $29 on FedEx Ground including insurance for $650 value. How come it costs you so much to ship, dude?

When I shipped a TRD kit a while back, they charged me $120 via fedex ground
How are you people shipping Fedex ground???? there ground service needs an account you can't walk into a fedex location and pay for ground

I have a FedEx account. I just double-checked the charge online and it was $28.94 including the insurance. I had actually bought two kits, thinking to sell one cuz the price was low, but one was missing a valance and I sent it back. The seller had only charged me $50 each for shipping UPS to me. I don't know why you guys are getting such high shipping quotes. If you go to UPS.com, you can get a shipping quote without having an account and it comes out to $51 with insurance for shipping from Houston, TX to Arlington, VA. Package is 79x16x7" at 20lbs. Try it yourself.

Different dealerships use different shipping methods, therefore they differ in shipping rates. I've had too many kits ship to know this by now. Trust me, try taking that TRD kit box to usp and they will charge u $120, and I know this from experience at my local USP, and they say since its an oversized box, that's the reasoning for the high shipping rate. They don't care how much it weighs; once it's over a certain size, it falls into a different catagory. I've shipped way too many oversized items to know the shipping rate by heart...lol. Keep in mind that dealerships get corporate rates because they ship many things.

my 2 cents....

Yeah, the USP (US Postal Service) will always rip you off AND give you the worst service. But, like I said, I did, actually, really, truly ship a kit from VA (22213) to TX (77065) for $29 including insurance using my FedEx account. This isn't theory, it's actual cost for a real shipment. Also true is that UPS (United Parcel Service) will ship for ANYBODY, with or without an account, the same package point to point for $51 (dropped off at a UPS center, not picked up). Click here and check online for yourself.

Michael, as much as you ship, you should get a FedEx account. If you set it up to bill automatically to your American Express card, you get even better prices.
