Man, you must be about to jump out of your skin. I'm guessing you are going to exceed 300whp by a bit. Any ideas?

Do you have slicks for the drag strip?

8) 8) This afternoon Carlos Jr. cranked my motor for the first time. I was on the phone of course. It fired right up. There were not problems and the initial run was to last an hour or better.

If all checks out ok, tomorrow Carlos Jr. will complete the initial test drive. Yes, I had to give him permission to drive it in the rain and it damn near killed me.. 8)

If the test drive goes well Carlos Jr. will put some miles on the car and if that reveals no problems, he'll turn the keys over to me Saturday morning. 8)

My guess is you're not touching this kind of job for less than the entire cost of buying a low-mileage 2002 Solara SLE V6--or more. Trust me, your engine swap cost WAY less.

Wow, then you're getting a hell of a deal, sir. I've seen jobs like this on other cars where just the engine work cost more than $7k. Sweet deal if you're out less than $10k for this.

 Oops, I just realized I said 2002--I meant 2000... Mine's a 2002 and I'm so used to typing that...
