i have a set of lexus sc430 rims and tires for it. the rims are 18x8 and the offset is 45. the tires are 245/40/18. and i know that i need spacers for them. my question is do i need spacers for both the front and the back? is it ok to just put in spacers in the back? and what size spacers should I get? half an inch? thankz alot.

I think you'll be fine in the front, but the back will be tight. Spacers will prevent it from rubbing on the struts, but it's already gunna rub on the outside with 245's and spacers will make that worse. If you have the fenders rolled it should be alright, but i bet it'll still rub a bit. A little rubbing isn't really gunna hurt anything but I hate it personally. So, yea I don't know what size spacers you'll need I'd go with the smallest that will solve the problem because the farther out you go the more of a problem you'll run into with it rubbing on the fenders. Maybe like 1/4 inch spacers, and I'm almost sure you're gunna have to get your fenders rolled. Good luck

245 is rather wide for our platform.

Not only do you have to worry about strut clearance, you have to worry about rubbing.

you may want to go down a tire size or 2.

you will most likely need spacers for the rear and maybe the front. (putting them on the front are dangerous, unless its a set of trac+ spacers)

also you will need to extend the rear studs (and possibly front) to accomodate the spacers for the lug nuts to have enough bite on them.
