2.5" Custom Y-Pipe Installed
First of all, thanks to Gabe (trd4life) that sold me this part. It needed some minor modification, a flange welded on the downstream end, a local shop did the installation and fabrication for $60 cash, took them a little over an hour.
It is cat delete with a flex joint about where the cat used to be. No CEL yet, been on the car since Thursday.
Initial impressions are good. It is noticably louder and the car just flies through the RPM range now, biggest improvement to mid and high end power. I think the car may have lost a little low end torque, < 3k RPM but I expected that. Another positive is the car does not seem to loose traction during hard acceleration as much. Perhaps that can be attributed to the high flow design and loss of some low end torque?
