Postby CHRISOFWEAPONR » Mon Nov 18, 2002 12:34 pm

Hello Chris from Weapon-R here looking for someone with a 2001 solara 4cyl with little or no mods done to it. The reason why i am looking for this is we are trying to get the toyota intakes smog legal. So CARB said we need that model specific car. If anyone is willing to help you will recieve a free intake and discount towards other products. We are in the bay area. Contact me if you would like to help.

well thats what you heard, they do not fall apart unless it was cleaned with a improper cleaner kit. you can say the intake look rice but it makes more power than alot of others out there.

Jeez. A guy comes in from WeaponR and asks for help. Seems sincere. Gets told his stuff is junk, looks ricey and gets Injen's name waved at him. Is this any way to make friends??

I'm not the only one that feels the same way. Go to ClubLexus, Newcelica.org and all the other Toyota sites and you will see the same.

Well on NewCelica.org we proved our intake and ECU and it came out real good. On SpyderChat we showed a ECU and it had a problem but we fixed it. On Club Lexus same thing. All people go by is what people know from the past. We come to forums to help people make new things and make improvments. If you all want to stick what you got thats fine, we were just looking for some help so we could in turn help you. All i always get is hate but it doesnt mean i give up. Unless the ADMIN comes to me and tells me to leave then i will.

IMHO, you will not win over this crowd for a regular intake because
A. A lot of people will not do intake because it actually causes a loss of low end torque

B. The people who do want an intake, get injen.

Personally i think you should work on CAI. There is an EXTREME intereast for a well designed CAI for the solara/camry.
