i believe IK 20 are fine. (not IK22 [that's for s/c guys])

if not, then just stick to the platinum plugs.

A plug that operates at too high a temperature can also serve as an ignition source that actually starts the fire prior to the spark. This is pre-ignition, and it can lead to detonation.

Basically, a hot plug retains heat longer than a cold plug. Since turbo/nitrous/Supercharged engines are doing more work with more compression than stock, you need a colder plug (one that disappates heat faster).

Hope this helps.

Denso is the company i use. they offer the IK20, IK22, etc.

Ah!! that spark info was most informative.

as for liking the spark plug, i believe people will say that they do feel an improvement of the new plugs, but in reality its just the lost power of the old plug that is regained back for optimal efficienc of the new plug.

you should be fine with OEM plugs but you could get IK20s if you feel like spending the extra money

Is it true, I heard they have plugs that last over 100K miles even if abused?

^ they will last, but become more carbonated quicker.

thus cutting performance by not having as good of a contact.

I just had to change the plugs on my solara and I just used bosh plugs they were $1.99 each at pepboys, they are only single tip but I think something else is wrong with my ignition system on the new engine becuase all six of the plugs i pulled out were completely black, they were denso 20's. those back ones are a biatch to get the wrench on, especilaay if you have big hands and forearms. Taking off the strut tower brace helps a lot I also found it easier to do it from the drivers side and reach across.
