Once again, they are not projectors. No part number. Just the capsule. No where does it say projectors or look like projectors.

what would be the difference of those silverstars than the ones that I have that fit already? Alot brighter? or is it not worth it if i've already dropped the money on silverstars?

And i deposited the checks on friday, so as soon as i get the money i'll send it to you. lights will probably come next week, but you'll get your money soon.

9005's have 10 more watts going to them. It also doesnt have the little end cap on it. 10 more watts from 55 watts is about 20% more power. Also, since 9006 are used as low beams, they have the end cap on to keep the blinding factor down. 9005's are used as highbeams, so they dont require the end cap.

Not sure if its as efficent at a higher wattage, but assuming equal effeciency, should be about 20% brighter.

End cap shouldnt be a factor due to the metal sheild within our fogs.

I'll pick up some 9005s at some point, convert them, and do a picture test to see if theres differences from one to the other.

^ Nope. Neither 9006 nor 9005 have a dual filament. 9006 is low and 9005 is used for high.

Remember, what makes the "high beam" look farther out on your head lights is the shield inside your headlamp along with the fact that the 9005 bulb has no grayed out tip.

Gen1s have 9003 bulbs on the headlights which have the highbeam designed within the bulb so it is low/high in one bulb.

I drive on highways alot, and I absolutely hate people who have high beams on.

I'd shoot myself before i got those. (sorry for the outburst, 6 hour drive yesterday)

Im pretty sure the beam is on the same level. Foglights should shoot straight out, since they are at a lower plane, and are meant to cut through fog. They are mounted low so they dont blind people.

Remember, highbeams blind you because of the level they shoot at, not because they are of a slightly higher intensity (They shoot straight ahead rather than angled down, providing "background lighting" instead of "foreground lighting", but also producing mass amounts of glare in the process.)

I'm pretty sure its the mounting position in the housing that makes a high beam higher in headlights with two seperate bulbs for high/low, not the bulb or filament themselves.

Maybe you can tell me Louis.

I'll upload a pic of the fog beams soon (9006), since I just took some snaps of them.

Here we go:

This is not like you think Rudy.
Driving w/high-beams on the headlamps and having 9005 bulbs in your yellow fogs are two different worlds.
It is totally up to you.

I especially hate when a big truck has the high beams on a stoplight and its lamp is directing dead smack in my driver side rearview mirror blinding me! I literally redirect my mirror to shine away from my face and reflect the light back to the truck if at all possible.
I feel ya man!

Yeah I was talking about our H4 (9003) housing. If you look at the bulb itself you will see how the bulb is designed to shoot high beam light up and out. I think the shield inside the lamp has to do with it also.

For those with separate bulbs for low and high, the shield in the lamp is what directs light along with its position in the lamp as you said Jon.
