well.. first off.. i've gotten into like 3 accidents this past semester.. SiGh.. i got hit by an 18 wheeler (august), :o spun out in the middle of the high way and hit a road sign (october), and some lady just backed up into my car last week.. lol..

so i've finally gotten enough money to.. kinda.. fix up my car.. and i'm getting it repainted.. i'd just like to kno somethings to see if it's possible that i can put parts in my car..

does the 02-03 body kit on sale in ebay fit the 2000 solara? cuz it kinda doesn't make sense if it doesn't.. and where can i find a manual 5spd tranny for my 2000 solara? lol... i think i should change my name to accidentSolaraTypeR lol..

Hey there, welcome to the forum.

About your question, the 02-03 body kit on Ebay fits your car, but not the front lips. It needs some mod in order to work. Check the onsale section of the board out, they have some real TRD kits for sale cheap there.

Also, check out the DIY (do it yourself) section, there is a tutorial of how to put the front lips of 02-03 into the 00.

Btw, there is no such thing as Solara Type R, bro, LOL...

you can get the tein/tokico combo pretty cheap, shop around..it should cost you 180 for the springs, 400 shipped for the struts if ou find a decent deal. this is a pretty economical performance option that will make your ride look a LOT better..and handle better too.

are you 5 speed? if so consider the short shifter..

i was reading about the TRD springs.. and they said that i can just get that and don't have to worry about changing the suspension.. cuz i don't have that much money to get the tein/tokico combo.. *i want to get the tokico whites and they're not available.. :( so i donno.. u think it's a good idea if i just get those? cuz i don't wanna lower my car by a lot either..

TRD springs aren't made anymore - they were just rebadged eibachs anyways

you don't NEED to do struts at the same time, but it is highly reccomended. You'll last for about 1 year on stock struts and lowering springs.

Its tokico blues BTW, not tokico whites

i believe solaratyper was referring to the tokico adjustable shocks and struts which come in white but as he said are not available for solara

however, i agree with yanks and would also recommend changing out the springs and struts at the same time...if you don't have the money to do both now (+ install) then i would wait and save up to do the combo IMO

i'd also pass on getting the ebay intake...there plenty of threads around here that state why...
