if i were to get a remote start, i would need another key cause they need the original transponder key, so would this key work for my solara?

I think any key will work after you put in Remote Start. Once the transpondered key is set for the remote start, the transponder should always be active and u wont need a second transponder to start the key anymore. Basically your engine immobolizer will become useless since the transponder is always in range of your ignition due to the key being inside.

At least thats how I think itll work.

Let me know. Im curious too. I figure since the key is sacrificed to be placed by the ignition so that itll work without a transponder present, then its gotta sit next to the ignition permenantly. I dont have engine immobolizer so I didnt have to deal with it.
