Right Side Suspension Squeaking I think...

Postby TheTamago » Mon Jan 24, 2005 5:14 am

I can't really pin point out the squeaking issue but it seems after my past car wash. I dunno if the right side got partially damage or else its just the wear and tear that I've been doing to my car as I take corners harsh on the stock suspension without making the tires lose some traction.

noticed it recently that the suspension used to make a nice pssshh sound when I took speed bumps at the slowest possible. But this time around, took a speed bump and I heard a nasty creeking sound to a squeakish sound on the right side. Didn't hear anything from the left side. Don't have anyone around at the moment to help me pinpoint which section is doing this but I think I might have to rush my project and forgo the S/C for now and get my coilovers bought and installed if this becomes a serious issue.

I haven't really seen any difference though in driving so its partially safe to presume that I might need some lubing on the suspension parts else something is starting break down???? Lil stumped. Someone ease my assurance!!!! LOL :o

(Tried to dig up some info on the forum but mostly the results were on aftermarket suspension and driver wheel issues.)

Most likely the swaybar bushings need to be regreased. Look into getting a set of Energy Suspension regreasable swaybar bushings.

You can get these from autozone.

BTW do you have the TRD rear swaybar?

Yes I have a RSB from TRD. I had the thing installed around middle of 2004. Can't remember which month I did it.

Take an hour to disassemble the bushing mounts, wipe them down, wrap them with teflon tape, regrease them, bolt it back up...or get the regreasable bushing.
