ok im in search of springs.. something to go w/ tokico.. either eibach, tien or H&R.

the problem is i have a crazy driveway. in order to even get in there.. it dips down and then up the driveway., also it is at an angel too.

i know, i would make it up there when its lowered. its just gonna take a while. but prob not with the kit, depending on what kind of springs im getting. i might be able to. what are u opinions? over time.. which one will settle lower. i just need a drop. but not too low.

tein seems to have the best drop in terms of even ride height for the $$$...wish i had gone with tein instead of eibachs which gave me an uneven drop :x

either way the struts will lower the car a lil also

I disagree this. i seen few cars acutally got lift up by the shocks becasue it is stiffer.

just go with eibach prokit, 1.5" lower while other springs are 1.75" lower. you really have to learn how to do "angle cut" onto a driveway or speedbump

I have an idea. Order the eibachs for a camry. They will fit and they have less of a drop compared to the solara springs.

I had solara eibach springs on my camry and it worked perfect so they should be ok on the solara.

The solara springs are 1.6" drop the Camry springs are 1.4" drop

I am in a similiar situation where, I want to "slightly" lower the Solara but, I do not want to have it dragging speedbumps and inclined driveways. I am considering the TEIN " HIGH TECH" springs. Their ad says that it provides a 1.2" drop while maintaining good ride quality. I drive about 800 miles a week in my Solara so, ride quality is a big consideration for me.
I have not yet checked to see if the "HIGH TECH" springs are available for the Solara. I will let you know when I find out.

Thanks,

Mike

Mel,

If you want to see how teins look with tokico just look at my cars pics. My drop isn't that low and even with the TRD kit i dont have any problems.

I have a crazy drive way where i live and i dont have any problems.

I would go with tein and tokico. You have about a 2 finger gap all around plus the drop is more even the eibach. H&R springs then to sit a little lower then rated.

Also Eibachs aka TRD springs tend to sag a little after a while. I've had my Teins for over 1.5 yrs and still the same height as when i first installed them.
