Damn 6 disc STOPPED WORKING!

Postby Sn88pyBQ » Fri Jan 28, 2005 12:22 pm

Hey townboy2, funny you say that cause my gf won't let me buy a new HU either. She said you still have the radio and tape! LOL I want some MP3s in my car too man!

That 6 Disc is just not worth fixing. Seems like the 6 Disc in the Solara is crap! Seems like lots of people are having problems with it too.

I don't want the person installing it for me to mess anything up so do you guys know of any good installer in the NYC area that you guys used before? Please let me know guys I would really like to hear some MP3s in my car.

Alpine looks so much cleaner... and there is NO comparison in quality. If you want something GOOD, go Alpine. They look clean and they perform like champs.

I've got an Alpine 6-Disc CD/MP3 Changer, hooks right into the HU. Real easy to do, if you have a screwdriver and an afternoon free. If you decide to go that path, hit me up if you have questions... it's a LOT easier than it appears.

Hey duffman, so you got the Alpine 6 Disc and hooked it up to your stock HU? If you did that, does that mean your Alpine 6 Disc is in your trunk?

No charge? You sure about that? I don't think the car is under warranty anymore do they still do it for free? If so, I'll bring it in as soon as I can. Let me know.....

No, it's hooked to an Alpine HU... though I'd wager there's a couple changers out there that will work with the stock unit.
