TRD Springs

TRD Springs

I was wondering if anyone had bought TRD springs for the gen 1 recently. I had to buy a new set about 5 months ago and when my mechanic and I took them out of the box we noticed that they were shaped different than the TRD springs that I had initially bought with the car. The rears had a couple more "loops" or whatever you'd like to call them. But they fit so we put them in. Recently I've been noticing a "scratching/scraping" sound coming from the rear and finally took it to my mech. Turns out that the rear springs are lower than the other ones I had and the sound is my tires rubbing. Sucks cause I only have 17's!! Anyways I had to have my fenders rolled out but I was just wondering if anyone knew that the TRD springs they sell now for our Gen is different.

Could it possibly be for the '04-05?

I have the eibachs (werent they the same as TRD?) and I also scrape a lot with 17's (especially since putting in my subs). Is it a big problem, or can I get away with not rolling my fenders? Would not rolling them cause a problem?

I bought mine used, so I don't think I got the same batch that yours came from haha. But yes I have that problem as well.

hmmm don't think so. I bough it from my friend @ the Toyota Parts department and he checked to make sure they were for my car. But who knows :P

Do you have the part numbers from your original purchase and the most recent one (assuming that would be the easiest way to see if part numbers match up??)
