When I did suspension and rims/tires I noticed a sound like that too. Found out it was the rear seat belt tensioners. There's something in there like a ball bearing or something that is used to lock the belt quickly when the seat belt is suddenly pulled, like in an accident. Since I got rid of the JIC's and went to the Teins the sound is gone and my kidneys are thankful :D

I picked up the same sound about a week ago...Sounded like it was coming from the C pillar or the package shelf. Usually happens on cold, dry mornings.

You know I don't know if this will help but, a few of us had that rattle that seemed to come from the front doors. Even if you never removed the door. Ends up it was the front A pillars. There's a black plastic thing in there that helps it keep it's shape and it isn't attached too well. I used some foam tape so it wouldn't rattle and no sound. I don't remember if the rear pillars have that but you probably would know.

Remember that they had to take out the entire rear panels all the way up to your font seat belts so if their is a loose plastic clip ratteling around in their somewhere good luck finding it.

I had a plastic rattling sound in my front passenger area and it was a loose black plastic wheel well/fender. A screw had popped out of its little hole mount, so I just re-tightened it up and all is good now. Possiblly the case for your rear? just a thought. good luck -art
