How much did you pay for your Gen 1-1.5 Solara?

I thought aboud putting this in the "general" forums, but i mostly wondered about the 1-1.5 gen.
First off, did you buy your car new/used?
How many miles were on it, when you bought it?
How much did you talk them down/ pay for it?
Oh.. And when did you buy it?


This would give me a good idea of how much people are paying..
Any answers would be greatly appreciated.

2000 SLE V6 - w/20,000 Miles
Paid $500 over what my sponsor dealer took it on trade for $8200
I paid cash.

They said it retails for about $12,000

We had a thread like this a while ago. If you search, you might be able to find it and give you more information. Many people replied. I bought my SLE new in 99. When I bought mine in Atlanta, the dealer didn't get many and sold them quick so they would not negotiate on price much. I paid just over $30,000. I think it was like $30,800 or something like that. -JoeB

dealers are usualy pretty firm on those prices

18 . it was a new 01 SE purchased in 02, remember the 2az was out, so this was the dealership's last 5sfe left over from pevious year - a lady ordered it and the car came w/o roof (not what she ordered). Went in to buy a new rolla, and found solara pervious model year to be cheaper (LOL).

Bought mine brand spanking new.

March 8th 2002
When i saw it on the lot it had 2miles on the OD. After the test drive it had 8 miles on the OD.

Took it home that day for $20K OTD, Sticker price was $23,500.. Dad knew the fleet manager and gave it to me for $500 above invoice.

My last payment goes out in March.

The thing was when i went to look for car i was looking at the Matrix since it was the newest car toyota had at that time. Test drove it and it felt like crap so i looked around some more and found the solara instead.
