not going to help shifting harder while pounding the car, only help the tranny downshift... thats it.. just the initial downshift.. the harder shifting part would have to be done to the springs that are used to make the clutches engage which are in the tranny itself.. and thats asking for clutches to fry...

So overall worth.... worthless

Don't waste your time... the shifts a harder but that actually grinds gears =P the valve is to prevent hard shifts and keep the transmission shifting as smoothly as possible...

the cables are known as (Toyota Official "How to take apart your throttle body 1MZ-FE" Chart):
Accelerator Cable
Throttle Cable

Not "Throttle Kickback" =P
1GR-FE ftw!

I currently have mine conservatively tighetened (2 threads) and I will say the transmission shifts are crisper. At WOT you wont notice any difference but for having everyday fun I do enjoy the little jolt I get between shifts - reminds my of my friends 300E - that was one snappy automatic. Shifting into R and D like the author of the original article says is not an issue if you know how far to tighten it. Never had a gear grind - ever.

I say try the mod, if you dont like it or if you think its not working for you you can easily set it back, just mark the thread where it was at in stock position.

If anyone does this on the 1MZFE, take some pictures. I'll try it as long as I know exactly what I'm doing. Otherwise i won't waste my time haha
