same thing happened to me...

i got like 4 fix-its for my tints (20% full side and rear) within 2 months, decided no more tinting on the sides unless it's state legal which is 70% which is hardly worth the $$$ and i'd prob even get pulled over for that too which is ridiculous :x

but anyways, 20% is about as dark as i would go, it can get mighty hard to see out your side windows at night with anything lower...

Damn, 4 fix-its?! Where do you drive around for that? I think it is also because your car is white with bright-colored interior. It is easier for somebody outside to figure out that you have tinted your front side windows. I've only gotten pulled over by a rookie cop once in my Solara and none (so far) in my 8. Both have black interiors so that's a plus.

Just gotta live with it. Something to play with when you are cleaning the back window.

The best thing for the dot matrix on the back is to lay a black piece of vinyl over it. That's how the place I went to did it. That way it just looks like the built in blackness in the window. Otherwise, if you just tint it you get that white ghost effect.

So, do you mean to place the black vinyl on the inside of the back window or the outside? Just curious as to what looks better.

placing the sticker on the inside can prolong life as it doesn't have to go through anything except sunlight. bad part is that things can get complicated if you want to pull the sticker off.

however if you look from the outside, there's a good chance you will see the dotting from there.

imho, just bare it as you wont be able to see the dotting from the rear view anyway.
