I prefere not. So many dissing and throw downs in this forum so I rather just keep it down low. And I like a better one anyway with more cooling power. Just how I like it for me. So any help?

try a product called "water wetter." it lowers tempreture.

its an additive that you put into your rad fluid.

at one point in time i was planning to fill the radiator of only water and 7 bottles of water wetter.

hey im just telling you this because an aftermarket radiator may not be necessary w/ basic bolt on mods like intake, exhaust, header, etc etc.. If youre super/turbocharging then you MIGHT need more cooling power... but if youre just going for the Bling factor then by all means waste your money.... kyoto and fluidyne makes nice aftermarket radiators... the only thing you'd have to fabricate would be some top mounting brackets which a decent auto shop can make for you..

I know im non sc or turbo. I just like the thought of more cooling no matter what since the cooler an engine is, the better the performance and same time helps engine life.

And yeah I Kind of want some bling with it since the factory one looks so dead and as if its not enough for my taste.

If that's the case, just get a TRD 160* thermostat. Our cooling system is sufficient to maintain the temp. Even if you are running a aftermarket radiator, the thermostat is what will control the temperature of the coolant. I really don't think a new radiator is needed either. At least not until you see your temperatures rising. That is the sign that the cooling system is inadequate. -JoeB

Definatly a good point.... the stock t-stat kicks in at 180 i think.... anyway ive nver seen my car go above that (autometer water temp gauge) and i auto x my car sc'd in texas heat.

180 is really good, I guess that is another difference in the V6 - I4 comparisons. The four cylinder motors must run hotter then. I have seen my water temp over 210. Since I did the kit the highest temp I have seen is 190 or so. I believe that the V6 has a bigger radiator than the I4 though, so that would explain some of this difference.

That's good feedback and nice to know. I would imagine the radiator from a V6 would slide into the I4 easily and might make a nice upgrade for cooling the I4s. The fact that the I4 goes hotter than the thermostat control suggests it could use a better cooling system. My bet is when it gets that hot there is an electric fan that kicks on too. Although that is ok, it is better to be able to cool without having to do that. -JoeB

Yep, The fans kick on at either 160 or 180 (can't remember which).
