aslong as you do not remove the plastic guard under your car the intake will not suck up water unless your filter is actually going to be submerged under water

I don't have the wheel well guard or the plastic under the car. I've been doing fine. You ONLY have to worry if you think the filter will be submerged.

On the bypass valve... i was thinking about this and if you car is sucking in air.... wouldnt it pulll hot engine air through there allways ... not just when there is water???
