newbie 2003 SE questions

I know this question has been asked many times, but I can not get it to work. I have a 2003 SE with keyless entry, but the Lock button does not work to unlock the doors. Im pretty sure the button works though because if I press the panic button the lock button will stop the panic. So im thinking it needs reprogramming. The programming instructions I found on this site do not work. I have bought a new remote to and would like to program that one as well. I have no security LED so I dont think i has a security system. On the back of the remote it says FCC ID: CO43VT14T. Any help would be awesome. Also anybody know if the JBL CD and cassette stereo has jacks for an amp?

I dont think it has preouts for an amp. You can however, get a line converter for about $10 that you splice into your rear channel then rca lines to the amp. thats how i did it and it slams and is very clear.

Not sure about the keyless entry. maybe a broken unit.

that is the right remote for keyless entry...i know i too was unable to reprograme it myself...when my wifee took it in for 'ladies wednesday' special, the dealership programmed our remotes for free...
