sure your throttle body is clean, because dirty stuffs already been sucked into the the intakemaniford.

you can try to drill few holes on the lower intake boxes with filter in it. If you had done it correctly, you may get few more hp from there. This trick is racer proven that very common seen on supra, IS300, GS300/400 and rx-7.

You have to be kidding me! Wow, I am astonished. Maybe you should work 2 jobs, take 19 hours of University classes, and then care about your car at the same time (with your own money!) That's what I do, the car comes last for me unfortunately but I have been paying my own way since I was 18. I had to purchase both my 94 camry and my 99 solara by myself and let me tell you, making monthly loan payments puts it all into perspective for you! I have a lot of respect for the guys on here that work their tails off to stay afloat and mandarin you sincerely make me furious!!! You need to learn to respect the gifts you are given and not to take advantage of the people that love you most. Man, ripping off your grandma, I bet you really feel like a man! Seriously though, I will not ask why you got the Solara in the first place coz I bet it wasn't even your choice. If you want a car that will fit perfectly in the Ricer circle you brag around with, get a Civic be like everyone else in your Ricer circle. Seriously, there are better and safer ways to get the obnoxious sound you want. Try a drop in k&n filter (the last filter you will ever buy). It made my stock intake sound throatier. Second, drill a bunch of holes in the bottom of the intake BELOW the filter. Swiss-cheesing your box will give you a bigger sound while keeping stock appearances. Please dont trash the solara - its a luxury boulevard cruiser, not a junky boy-racer.
