Tune Up suggestions for 1999 SLE
Hi, my lease was up on my 1999 Solara SLE, and I decided to keep her.
It just crossed over 60k miles, and I need to do a tune up. I read a few other threads here, and I see that the platinum plug recommended most is either the NGK Laser or a Denso. It has been a long time since I have ever had to buy spark plugs, and want to know why these are the best?
Also, where is a good location to find them? I did some googling for them, and have had a difficult time finding the NGK laser plugs for my car. Do any of the national auto part stores carry them?
The service manual only indicates the plugs should be replaced. Are there any other "tune up" type things that should be done to the car at the same time? My car does tend to start rough in the morning.
Also, out of curiousity, how long do the OEM batteries last? Mine is still going strong.
