mods will result to faster 1/4 times?

I'm Currently looking for mods that will increase my 1/4 mile times
i heard intake is not good because it just sucks up the hot air inside the car because the intake is kinda close to the headers. With my current set up see below....
i was wondering if apexi safc will increase 1/4 mile times
i know headers and y pipe will do good but it just too expensive
ground wires don't do any good,
bigger exhaust piping?

Kinda on a budget... college student also....

Why not try a CAI? I've never did any 1/4, but I definately feel more top end pull. Have you got Jim's fuel kit also?

i cant believe you have all of those mods but no intake yet.
ground wires do help.
but if you arent talking about big mods then increasing airflow to and from the motor is about it.

Yea it looks like you got a great start already. I would say to get the SAFC II so you'll be able to tune your car and fuel more efficiently. I think bigger piping along with the SAFC II would definitely knock off a couple tenths of a second.

Yea if you have the money I would say that Jim's fuel kit will save your engine in the long run and will more than likely increase your horsepower. So if I had the choice with your current mods . . .

1)Jim's fuel kit
2)SAFC II
3)Bigger piping . . . 2.5" - 2.75" straight piping (no resonator)
4)CAI (Injen short ram w/ UPFD cold air extension pipe)

Jus do it . . . 8) :drinking: 8)

what exactly is jim's fuel kit? is it just a bigger fuel filter with hoses? i got the upgraded fuel pump and waiting on a new fuel filter....

Does anyone know where i can get bigger piping say 3" to the muffler?

That's Jim's fuel kit. It's very important because with the current setup there's not enough fuel getting through the y-split. I believe the front rail is getting starved of fuel.

For the muffler, just go to a muffler shop and have them custom one. Also, a hi-flow cat may help.

another reason why i don't want to get an intake because it will be loud... i like the quite and fast..... i was racing my friends prelude (99) and his vtec is loud but that car is slow... i dont want to be one of those loud ricers....

With my current set up i ran a 15.3 with lots of wheel spin. Second time i ran was like 16.4 but i missed second gear. I'm hoping getting into the 14's at Fontana next week.

cai doesnt add much sound to the s/c deff not ricey. you just hear more of the s/c whine. i noticed a much quiter ride AFTER installing the s/c with cai instead of just sri. deff get jims fuel mod, you've got brass ones for running 6lbs with out it, even with your bigger walbro. look at all the threads on jims kit, or just call him. hes really good at explaining the kit and 200 for his kit vs 500-600 for a knock sensor = no brainer.
