NorCal & SoCal Meet - 4/9 @ Berkeley Marina

Postby I4 to V6 Swap » Thu Mar 17, 2005 4:32 pm

I found out I qualify for 2 weeks vacation this year, and I put in for the day off. I am pretty sure I will get the day off. I am looking forward to this.

Castro, PM sent.

Sac/Stockton guys, looking forward to meeting up with you for the caravan down. Maybe if you have those two way radios, you can bring them.

so its pretty much decided that we will go eat.

here is what my thought is for those willing.

meet at berkely marina at 2. get pics and chill whatnot.

drive to TI and get more pics (where there are less people on the old base) and do a cruise thru the sko and eat somewhere out there.

please the more people post up on what they want to do, the better this meet can be,. :fadein:

Treasure Island? I only been there once, and I wasn't driving. That sounds cool. Last time I went by there, I think a civic blew his engine trying to keep up with me and got off there. Isn't getting back onto the freeway hard?

If TI is too much, we can always go Alameda point.

Up to the stockton guys. If you go to Hayward, you have to go south on 5 to 205 to 580 and then south to Hayward and come back up north to Berkeley. If you come up to Sac, it is more of a straight shot to Berkeley.

me, castro, and pr0wlerartist are the three meeting up from Sac.

Yep, Its up to you, but if you go there using 80, then youll be sure to pass Elk Grove where I'm comming from (10min from downtown Sacramento) You'll be passing the exits that I've listed so it only makes sense that Stockton guys meet with me/whoever then we meet with Will along 80 somewhere.

Will: I got me a 2 way radio so Ill be bringing that guy along. Let me know exactly where you'd like to meet (exit by a gas station maybe?) so I can get it in my head before hand :P

David: As for stuff to do, I've got family that lives in Alameda/Oakland area and my uncle said that he drives along I believe it is Redwood/Pinehurst Rd. near the Anthony Chabot Park in Oakland where they usually hold meets due to the nice corners. Just an idea, It is a little south of the meet but hey... if we ever get bored then theres a nice drive in that direction. I heard that Grizzley Peak is a nice area to drive as well.
P.S. Redwood Rd. is about 30min mountain pass under normal driving, but my uncle/cousins tell me that they do timed runs and have it down to an avg of 10-14min. :o

If it rains, I am sure there is a parking lot that we can park our cars out of the rain near there, like at IKEA. Then decide what to do. Rain just takes away the outside activities, but there are tons of places we can go instead.
