it's amazing how hard it is to find a site that actually tells you whether the rims they sell are forged or cast. i've checked tirerack, which is one of the few that give you detailed descriptions, but their prices are still pretty steep for my wallet. i love how the car looks with aftermarket rims but i got tired of bending my cast motegis (jersey roads are absolute sh*t).

incidentally, i already have a set of tires to fit them. i suppose i could sell them and get new wheels and new tires to fit them, but that gets even more expensive.

hey, Posh. Since we're on the topic, what size wheels would you get if you were me? (keep in mind that i can't go bigger than 17" due to road conditions). i think 8" is the widest our cars can handle without rubbing after being dropped, with 48 offset i believe, right?

You can run wider wheels with a more aggressive offset, but you might have to roll your fenders to get some clearance.

^^ true

ironi,
I really like the way 8.5 looks... here are some pics of my guy's solara with 8.5s (by 19 tho)... http://www.cardomain.com/id/1lokedoutsle

oh man, if my car ended up looking like Milt's, i'd be extatic. I don't know if i want to go through the trouble of rolling my fenders though (not to mention the utter impossibility of driving on 19's in jersey). i think i may go with 8's, if i get the money. that might be close enough for me.
