Cheap eBay Gen1 Clear Corners. Good Quality?

Cheap eBay Gen1 Clear Corners. Good Quality?

Postby futurextrunks » Mon Mar 21, 2005 11:28 pm

Hi guys, I'm a newbie... just got a 2001 Solara SE (4 cylinder).

Anyway, just wondering about the quality of the 6.99 (10.50 shipping) clear corners on eBay from seller a1tuningwave. He seems to be selling a lot.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... eName=WD1V

How do they look in conjunction to the main headlights, how do they fit and how is the quality? There were a few good feedback in regards to these specific clear corners but I figured you guys would be experts. Plus, I couldn't tell the difference between these and the ones that are $37.99 ( http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... eName=WDVW ) BIN on eBay.

Thanks for any answers.

i'm using (along with many others on here) the ones from ebay and they actually fit better and are sealed better than the ones i paid for from http://www.procarparts.com...

the ones from procarparts was twice what i paid for the ebay ones...i guess sometimes you don't always get what you pay for!

its a gamble..i've been through 2 sets of clear corners, the first were really bad quality, i ordered them through procarparts, second pair igot off ebay are decent..when you get the package check the lens for leaks and if you must..seal it up.

I only needed a clear corner for my left side and turns out that it is LEAKING! So friggen great . . . and they were the ebay ones. Like the other guys have said before, quality really varies depending on where you get it from. Hopefully that person off ebay sells some pretty good quality clear corners.

A lot of people, myself included, have noticed condensation develop. Its pretty minor though, I've never had a full out leak.

I just got the 6.99 delivered the other day, so far so good...but I do have a little bit of condensation, but I like the layout better than procarparts. Total paid was $18. I did have the procarts ones before...but I broke the part were it screws....be very careful..they break easy.

Thanks for any answers.
