i changed my oem struts & springs this past weekend. there's a clink and clunk noise every time i go over a bump. i have the tein/tokico combo. has anyone had this problem? what should i do? please help...thanx in advance!

1) ive tried the turn the music up method but tht only lasts so long
2) i talked to tein, they say that maybe i need to cut the bump stops
3) talked to tokico and they say maybe i need a new top hat
4) my car feels like its gona fall apart...gotta do something
5) BUT MY CAR LOOKS HOTT and handles like none other!
6) ANY OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS ARE WELCOME...

how many lbs did you tighten the 3 mounting nuts for the strut?

I have the same problem on my rear passenger side tein/tokico, dissassembled it a million times cant figure it out.

yahhh every time I hit a bump when I go to work the right rear side just clunks, so sat hopefully ill change it see if its the problem, seem's many people are having the same problem especially with the rear right strut.

So whats the correct tq for it? If its tight and it does that is it safe? Im doing such a newbie question I know but oh well.

Is this being caused by the struts, springs, or that specific combination? I was thinking of getting the Tiens and KYB struts, hope that wouldn't happen to me! :S

naw, not like that..i think its from when the springs are settling back in..honestly though, my axel might be going bad, but i don't see any leaks or anything like that..so I just roll it how it is..plus my music is so loud that I don't hear it anyway..lol...

ok after youre done putting the shocks in... dont put the interior back in yet.. lower the car and put it in neutral and roll the car an inch back and forth.. this should make the strut mounts sit securely on the car.. then retighten the strut mount bolts again.
