Wheel fitment problem with coilovers

I just installed my Tein SS coilovers this past weekend but now my rear rims rub the struts. They are sized 17x7.5" with 225/45/17 tires and I believe a 35 offset. It's not the tires that are rubbing it's the actual inside lip of the rim. They've turned green! I was just wondering has anyone else has had wheel fitment problems and if not what size wheel are you running?

35 offset pushes the wheel outward from the body... higher = closer to strut... right?!

Are you dropped TOO LOW?! hahaha... I'm running 18x8 +50 (225/40r18) and no rubbing...

it makes no sense unless my idea of what offset is is backwards... x_x

ive had that problem. Running 5mm H&R spacers now in the rear

I've tried some 1/4" spacers. They gave me the clearance but then the problem became having too little thread for the lug nuts. Did you have that problem too? if so how did you deal with it? I know it's possible to extend the studs but none of the shops did it.

just get some small spacers. 1/4 inch is way too much. either that or extended wheel studs./

what nuts are you using? my original camry nuts didnt grab as deep as the lexus ones I have now. Im still on the original lugs since the clearance is about the same as stock while using the 5mm spacers. the H&R kit actually came with 5mm longer than stock lugs but I havent installed them yet/dont feel the need to. Becareful with some generic spacers that look like swisscheese, i had them before and they gave me vibrations at high speeds 80+

Where did you get the H&R spacers from? Sounds like they may do the trick.

i got em from a local speed shop sinc they were a dealer of H&R. its a package set that took like 2 months to get here from Germany! well, the H&R set is hubcentric and it an extremely tight fit. try looking on the site and see if there is a dealer that will sell it to you, if not then look around online.
