anyone have a good method to remove the pinstripes on the side of the car? ive tried peeling manually, but its a real pain. the sticky stuff comes off with goo gone, but i still have to peel manually, no fun. any ideas?

its probably not going to be done another way... its basically like debadging.. no easy method

wait for summer, let you car bake itself in direct sunlight for a few hours..and then the 'debaging' process. The only difference in the summer it will peel off more easily.

Edit: tooks needed would be hairdryer and/or a headgun, i'd stick with a hairdryer, you can fuk up less and still look nice!

a friend had the pinstripes on his integra shaved off at a shop... no clue what tool was used, if any... might be worth it to call around and ask...

I'd say use a heat gun but don't let it sit on one spot too long b/c your paint will come off with it......

I had black pin-stripe on my solara when I first got it and the weather was still cold. So, I used a blow drier and the process was very easy.

I just felt that the pearl looks so much better without it; the black pin-stripe made the car looked too white and not pearly.

And to think, the dealership pays a shop to put that on the new cars on the lot...hahha :lol:
