Just wanted everyone to know that so far the PG LSD is awesome!!

No more braking the tires loose at 40mph huh? It gives way better traction than I imagined. How do you like how well it improved the torque steer?

So far it's great. Not much time to test with the kid in the hospital and all. I'm still alittle concerned about the water temp issue. I spoke with Carlos Jr. today and he thinks all is well. I'll just have to wait and see.

When you say your kid is in the hospital, is that the car, or your daughter? If it's your daughter, hope she's okay. If it's the car, I feel like a dumba...

if there are people looking to do this LSD setup... i've got an automatic differential out and sitting in my garage... has the speed ring and all... if anyone needs it let me know

but how does the limited slip differential work....?
thought it was only for rear wheel drive cars....?

Basically, it allows for BOTH wheels to spin rather than just a single wheel . . . other LSDs can be 1.0, 1.5 or 2.0. The diff also provides much better traction due to both wheels putting down HP rather than the single wheel. Differentials are for EVERY car pretty much . . . ie. FF, FR, 4WD, MR etc. Everyone's gotta learn sometime man. lataz.

Traction control applies braking to stop the wheel spin, in fact slowing you down. I turn that damn thing off all the time.

Let's say you're at a stoplight on wet pavement. The light turns green and you press too firmly on the accelerator pedal. There is slick asphalt under your tires and the wheels begin to spin. The traction control system instantaneously kicks in, sensing that the wheels have begun to slip. Within a fraction of a second, this data is fed back to the control unit, which adjusts throttle input and applies braking force to slow the wheels (some older systems also retarded engine spark). The wheels are thus prevented from spinning and the car maintains maximum traction.

It's really that simple. Again, think of it as ABS in reverse.
