i never understood the importance and family feel that many of you guys have put into this forum. indeed we are truly a small community that has turned into a family. thanks for all the support. its reallly appreciated

I had my license suspended and revoked for a lot of all-too-creative-crap I did in the past and my folks were skeptical bout me getting a new car then once the parts started coming in they didn't say much because I was the one paying for it and I'm not altering my Solara to the point where it looks like another nasty rice burner with a fart can installed rolling down the street.....my parents actually seem to like the car better after the kit and I think yours will too...just don't tell them its installed let them figure that out themselves......

I was always known as the most opinionated little muhfo from when i was a little kid, note: not disrespectful. I will say, since you dont want to generate bad blood btwn you and fam is that you try and reason with them, even resort to kissin azz. If that doesnt work, say F it, and put the kit on anyway.

Uncles suck. I had this one that wanted me to buy a camry instead of a solara, when all i wanted to do is show him a car i was eyeing to buy. Lets say, We had driven to a dealership to look at a solara. He ended up giving me a lecture on how it was bad for me to buy a 2door vs a 4door. Tried to be civil, but he wasnt listening. His prima donna behind left me at the dealership, w/o a ride, for i had rode there in his car. So i bought a solara. Story of how i ended up with a 4banger to begin with.

It's sucks to see a solara is giving up the trd kit. but since you are living with parents, it is a smarter choice to go with what they say because it will make your life easier. you still have plenty of chance in the future to get a car/part you want anyway.

But I think a solara with TRD kit cetainly raise the resale value because it was one of the option from dealer (somewhat).

I used my own money, so my family is cool with that. But my dad thinks my car is too low and the tire is too thin (and of course he doesnt know i have turbo). He is very actively telling to put the factory hubcap back; my bro just thinks i am stupid to mod a solara.
