WTB 051 Paint

Im told that dealerships have the 051 DWP touch up paint. But does anyone know or have to sell any 051 DWP spray paint? Any way I can obtain it? I wanna spray my grille and Mudguards and possibly a lil touch up where my Mudguard used to be. Let me know thanks

Rich, any good paint supply shop should be able to help you. The paint shop near me that supplies all places that paint cars in my area does that kind of thing. They can put it in an aerosol can for you.

I went to the link from Gregs thread... I added everything I wanted to the cart... $65 without shipping. Lol i'll get the touchup from the dealer for now. But if anyone has left over 051 please let me know

I don't know if you know that it comes in a tiny bottle with a tiny brush. If you do your grille, touch up paint from the dealer won't do the job.

the touch up was for the chips i get from rocks and sand from the highway. Thats why i was looking for the spray paint, for the grille

The spray is pricey but definately worth it IMO. Try going to a paint supply shop like JoeB suggested.

remember that dwp is a 3-stage paint...

basecoat, pearlcoat, clearcoat so you may have to get 3 seperate cans of paint from the paint dealer...

what would basecoat be? would i have to buy 3 bottles of touch up for the little chips?? or does that 3 coat only go for big spots

No, thealkimo was referring to the fact that if you were to get the spray cans, you would need to buy all three of those since it's 3-stage paint.

As far as the small bottle of touch up paint, you only get one...lolz. :wink:
