How sweet is Homelink? We have it in the Odyssey and my Solara. Very convenient and pretty simple once you get the steps tight. Anyway, could I get a Homelink unit from a salvage car and put it in my 92 Honda Accord? I have no idea how those consoles work! Do they go through the radio antenna? Is it a stand alone unit? What would I need besides the overhead console if it is possible? I may be way off and this may be impossible, but if it is a fairly simple part to "reinstall" in another (older) car, I may try it. Thanks.

it' just like a garage opener...

the hardest part is finding a way to wire it so it's powered. that's all. it's an independent system (like a garage opener)

Cool. By power, do you just mean running a wire or two to it like a car stereo or any other accessory? maybe just tap into the fusebox and pick something like the radio and run the wires, then it'll function?

you can just get one of those 9V battery rectangular shape, and it will still work. portable as well, no wire to mess around with or blown fueses in your car. i bought the visors with home link on ebay, and put it in every car
