i went into the Toyota Dealer for the big 30,000 Mile oil change. i have the coupons and stuff for free oil change and 27 point inspection, but the guy also suggested that i do a flush of all the fluids in the car or whatever.

i didnt know what to do, so i said ill do it next time.

the question is: should i do the flush at 60,000 or 30,000?

flush the trans - probably the most critical fluid next to engine oil.

30K should be coolant flush, and optional tranny flush.
Transmission flush at 60K for sure.

i did my tranny flush this week at 59k, my tranny fluid was burned black. I suggest doing it at 40-50k.

I would flush both the coolant and trans. The trans is just like changing your oil except you have two plugs. The plug on the bottom of the tranny empties the fluid. Plug it up after its drained and then refilled the fluid in the other plug which is on the side. Fill it until its starts pouring out the side. Sorry i dont have pictures, but if you go to autozone they have haynes manuals and the have pictures.
