paint them, i recommend silver engine enamel or any other high temp paint. tape off the friction surface of the rotor if you have rear discs - you dont want to paint that part, just the hub. if rear drums you can paint the whole thing, just dont paint drums an obnoxious color. only black or silver.

IT is normal. just paint them over with high heat resistant paint. or do disc brake conversion..

If you want a nice natural look, either get them sandblasted and paint them clear, or just wire brush them real well and try using Cast Blast paint. It is the color of natural cast iron.

I spent last week doing repainting my hubs(I think thats what it is called, I have rear disks, and its the area between the disk itself and the back of where the rim mounts to the lugs) I painted the area black, I didn't do the best job in the world, but its better than rust, here are a couple pics, I have more if anyone wants em

i just take a wirebrush and clean that sucka out well and then paint it...Wirebrushing removes a lot of rust and makes the drum cover adhere to the paint more so (and makes it last longer too). On my solara, last time i did that was 2002, and its still black!

^^Just like calipers, i did my drum cover 'on' the car. Just mask off whatever you think you won't need painting and make it a few coats...i used high temp engine paint!

Edit: I've never ventured into the online ones....in the end, it'll just 'advertise' that i don't have rear disc's...i just painted mine flat black!
