Gen 1 to 1.5 Headlight and Tailight conversion

Will the Gen 1.5 lights ( front and rear ) go into the Gen 1 body and play nicely?

The taillight will fit fine, but the front won't. It will require changing the bumper, corner lights, fog lights, fenders, and grille.

I was going by what was posted previously, I'm guessing the corners are rounded the same?

one guy did a gen 1 to 1.5 front end conversion...

I believe it was around 1200-1400 in parts

Besides the obvious

Headlights, Foglights, Corner lights, fenders, grille, and bumper cover

You also need all the mounting brackets

the place where it is different at is the front part where it meets the headlights.

its the same on the gen4/4.5 camry. everyone thinks u need to do the fenders when all you need to do is the bumper.

also you would need to cut out part of your front support beam to make room for the larger housings on the 1.5

and that figure of 1200 is extremely high.

maybe 300 for the front bumper, another 200 for the lights and 150 for the fogs. i doubt you will want to change the wiring harness as well.

that will be the expensive part is the wiring harness. toyota claims you need to replace the whole thing. and thats about 800 bucks.
