You know that when you buy a bodykit for your car, and lower it, your going to mess it up. It's only a matter of time before that first scratch, that first kiss, that first dent happens. Do you think its worth it to put ground effects and lower your ride?

Its really up to the person. For me, im willing to do the angling and other precautions when driving a lowered/kitted car. Others may see things differently.

Edit: For some people, it isnt an option. At my old workplace, the first speedbump would scratch the hell out of my undercarridge when i was lowered w/o a kit.

Man, lately I've been thinking about changing the front bumper. This is my 2nd front and this one is cracking on me too (damn fiberglass :x ). I really like the look, but it's been hard getting around sometimes. I have to think about where I'm going and if I can get there or not! So, now I'm considering going to a gen1.5 up front now and leaving the skirts and rear. I'm just wondering if I can somehow get the front as low with the TRD lip kit to match the rest...

It's definately worth it if you're willing to put up w/ scratches here and there. There is no place, maybe except in San Diego lol, where you will never scratch. You live in the LA area, you should know =P

Some people are willing to 'sacrifice' more to have a lowered car with kit. I'm not one of those people. I wanted the TRD kit, but my car is pretty low as it is. With the kit, I'd have a 1/2 inch ground clearance (side skirt) lol It's already at a 1/2 finger gap between the wheel and fender (front, about 1 finger rear)

I lowered my car so it handles better, not 100% for looks... so that sort of explains my reasoning.

Milt's car is low as hell AND he has a kit... must be a bitch, huh Milt? ;)

I think it's worth it. Not fiberglass though. I'd love to find an R34 urethane bumper. I'll never put a fiberglass kit on my car no matter how good it looks the day it is installed. The first bump tares them up. Just flexing in the wind cracks up the paint... As soon as someone releases a nice urethane kit, I'm on it. At least a front bumper. -JoeB

There is NO WAY you'll have 1/2" ground clearance. I rigged my kit on real quick when I had my car dumped last week and I had several inches of ground clearance. But then again..your driveway is killer.

Gotta luv the parking lot speed bumps or for that matter any speed bumps where you gotta drive on an angle to clear it without rubbing.

People tailgating while your trying to clear it don't have no sympathy for the lowered (hopefully I'll be one soon 8) ).

I agree with JoeB......sticking with a urethane kit rather then a fiberglass kit.
