The seller claims these are made in Japan by union. Are they anywhere near the quality of the denso oil filters?

The 2nd filter listed is a union filter made in japan as in the ebay listing. It is actually more expensive here than the denso filter. Are these prices any good overall? Free shipping w/ $50 order. Was thinking about getting some syn tranny fluid, dont know if $3.72/quart is too much?
