Installing front bumper?

Installing front bumper?

Postby pvu » Mon May 09, 2005 7:32 pm

It's finally nice enough over here to consider changing my front bumper cover myself. I currently have a Octane (R34) bumper installed right now. It's in pretty rough condition, there are cracks here and there and the paint is chipping off. I finally found an OEM bumper cover for a good price at a junk yard. It's painted black, but my car is DPW. I asked for an appraisal from a local shop to see how much to paint and install the bumper.

Paint: $300
Install: $100

When I had the body kit installed, the front bumper absorber and fog lights were removed. So....before I change my bumper, any words of wisdom? Would it be easy to reinstall the absorber and rewire the fog lights?

I have no idea bro. There's a few members with that kit and I'm sure they can answer your question on the wiring.

Price for the paint job seems about right but I wouldn't pay $100 for installing the front bumper......could DIY I'm sure.

Good Luck......
